To secure your newborn session, we recommend pre-booking for when your baby will be 7–10 days old. Pre-bookings are adjusted once your baby arrives. With only 2 newborn sessions per week, pre-booking guarantees your spot.

Maternity sessions should also be scheduled in advance, ideally between 30–35 weeks. Later sessions are possible, but swelling, fatigue, and timing risks may make it less comfortable. Maternity sessions can be in-studio or outdoors.

Newborn sessions are studio-only, providing a controlled environment to ensure your baby’s safety.

A non-refundable retainer of $150 is required upon booking for each session type.

Session Times

Newborn: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (excluding public holidays), 11 am–1 pm
Maternity: Studio sessions available at 11 am–4 pm; location sessions scheduled around sunset/tide times

As your session day approaches, we’ll send you a Newborn Preparation Guide along with a short questionnaire. This collects details such as your baby’s name, birth date, weight, and any special requests, allowing us to tailor the session to your little one’s needs.

If you have any questions or feel unsure, you can request a complimentary phone call at least three days before your session to go over any details. Planning to include grandparents or additional family members? Please let us know in advance, as there are limits on the number of people in the studio.

Your photographer will select the appropriate props, wraps, and outfits based on your baby’s size and temperament, unless you’d like a specific look from our social media gallery. The guide also includes helpful tips on what to expect, what to pack, and clothing suggestions for parents.

By the time you arrive, your baby’s outfits and props will be ready, ensuring a smooth, stress-free session — all styled to be organic, timeless, and naturally beautiful.

When You Arrive
Bottled drinking water is provided, and a bottle warmer is available upon request. Your photographer will ask when your baby last fed and, if needed, your baby need to be fed again before we begin.

The studio entrance has comfortable seating for parents under the air-conditioning, while the shooting space is kept warmer and away from direct airflow for your baby’s comfort.

Session Overview
Newborn sessions typically last 1–2 hours, depending on your baby’s temperament. We start with newborn poses and finish with family photos. Most sessions include 2–4 newborn setups, though this can vary if your baby prefers to stay lying down or in a prop.

There’s a bathroom available inside the studio for your convenience as well as a baby change table. A children’s mini couch can be set up if required, and a movie for children is generally played on the studio monitors for your children to be relaxed while they wait for their turn.

After Your Session
Within 3–5 days, your photographer will review all images and prepare your selection gallery. Only images that meet professional standards (sharp, well-composed, and print-ready) are included, so you can choose with confidence knowing every photo can be enlarged, printed, and downloaded at a high quality.

Gallery Selections
You can make your selections at your own pace through our easy online system. Additional images outside your package can also be purchased and professionally edited starting from $33. Raw (unedited) files are not available for download or purchase.

Delivery & Downloads
Once you complete your selections, your final gallery will be delivered 7–14 days later via an online link. High-resolution images are available for unlimited download for up to four weeks.

Prints
Prints can be purchased after your final gallery is delivered, with pricing available upon request. All prints are made in Australia.
